Terms of Service
Last updated: July 22, 2026
1. Agreement
By downloading, accessing, or using FatwaAI (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What FatwaAI is
FatwaAI is an AI Islamic research assistant that provides educational summaries grounded in a curated corpus of fatwas, personalized to your tradition and madhhab preferences, with citations where available.
Important: FatwaAI provides educational summaries grounded in curated Islamic sources. It is not a substitute for a qualified local scholar or mufti. For personal rulings, worship validity, and sensitive matters, consult a trusted scholar in your community.
3. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use paid features. If you use the Service on behalf of someone else, you confirm you have authority to accept these Terms for them.
4. Accounts & device use
You may start without creating an account (anonymous / device-based usage). You are responsible for activity on your device related to the Service and for keeping any credentials or purchase accounts secure.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misrepresent FatwaAI answers as binding religious rulings issued by a scholar or mufti
- Abuse, overload, scrape, or reverse engineer the Service beyond permitted use
- Attempt to bypass credit limits, paywalls, or security controls
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or deceptive purposes
6. Credits, plans & billing
Access to questions may require credits. Generally, 1 credit equals 1 scholarly question. Plans (including free Seeker and paid Scholar / Mufti tiers) include monthly allowances and daily caps as described in the app.
- Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play
- Prices, renewal, and cancellation are governed by the applicable store’s policies
- Features such as conversation history and follow-ups depend on your plan
7. AI & content limitations
Answers are generated with AI using retrieved material from our curated corpus. Outputs may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Always verify sources and consult a qualified local scholar for personal or sensitive matters.
Content you submit (questions and related inputs) may be processed to provide the Service and to maintain quality and safety.
8. Intellectual property
FatwaAI, including its branding, software, and curated corpus interfaces, is owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes, subject to these Terms.
9. Privacy
Our collection and use of information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you also acknowledge that policy.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANSWERS ARE COMPLETE, ACCURATE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY RELIGIOUS OR LEGAL DECISION.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FATWAAI AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON EDUCATIONAL SUMMARIES PROVIDED BY THE SERVICE.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
